Friday:
Drove to Wigrams to fit a new radiator in the bathroom aboard Tranquility and replace a couple of ceiling lights, one was of the old halogen type which our previous management company should have replaced with an LED and didn't, (and most likely charged us for it), and another LED had failed giving only a very dull light, and I carried out a turnaround check for the next owners. While I was there I met Colin Rowe from CB Boats who arrived to fit our old toilet seat back on with some new fittings and has made it more secure.
Just by chance I met fellow bloggers Mr. and Mrs. Halford from N. B. Shadow moored a couple of berths away from TQ. Great to meet you both and I feel sure we'll meet again soon.
With all that work completed I travelled over to Alvechurch to find The Rectory Cottage B & B which was going to be my digs for the next two nights. I'd been there before so I knew where to find it, though it's very easy to find, and I must say Celia is a very welcoming host, and her garden is a delight even in Winter.
Saturday:
Started the day with a stroll around the garden followed by a Full English Breakfast prepared by Celia, and then the short journey to the other side of Alvechurch to the Marina where River and Canal Rescue were holding their Marine Electrical Course. I'd been on their Diesel Maintenance Course three weeks ago. It was excellent, and the same goes for the Electrical Course too. So now I'm a little wiser with the knowledge I've learned and now all I have to do is put it into practice. Maybe now I can find that intermittent fault that prevents the engine from starting. (I already suspect the ignition switch).
Sunday:
Attended the second half of the RCR Course as of Saturday, and then made my way home along the M42 and M5 to Zunny Zumerzet.
